Campaign Details
From the abandoned doggy couple on Millican Road who just two days later gave birth to a litter of puppies in the shelter, or an accidental litter of kittens found seeking warmth under a porch, to the several hundred citizens last year alone needing help rehoming a pet, HSO is here to give assistance. And we cannot do it without you and your support!
The Humane Society of the Ochocos (HSO) is incredibly grateful to supporters such as yourself that help us spread the love to our community pets and their families.
Please consider a donation for Valentine's Day in honor of a furry friend!
Here is a recap of our direct impact in 2022:
🐾 300 owner surrender… 62% HIGHER than 2021!
🐾 35 return adoptions
🐾 132 seized custody
🐾 367 strays
🐾 8 transfers in
🐾 544 adoptions
🐾 133 returned to owner
Although the shelter is in poor condition and maxed out for space, we always do our best for the animals and the people in Central Oregon with what we have. 2023 aims to be an exciting time for HSO when Phase 1 dog kennel construction permitting starts!
