Urgent help to survive this winter!

We received less donations during the holidays than previous years, we are running short on paying our basic bills, that is mortgage, vet bills and also to cover all the dog care, consultations, training sessions, EPIC, etc that our staff does on a daily basis. We are dragging debts since last summer as our vet bills were $20,000 and we are not able to recover. We need a boost to help us go through the winter months.

Our dogs at the farm, at EPIC, at foster homes and our bunnies needs you. We don't have that many donors or adoptions as other groups.

Our mission is hard but together we can make a difference!

Campaign Details

Thinking that one year ago, we didn't have a place to go! Our rent in Meridian went up and we thought we will have to stop our operations. Your amazing support save our dogs and the mission of rehabilitating more and helping more dog owners. One year has passed and we are learning so much about handling a farm and there are so much work to do still.

We are a small group and even trying to fundraise as much as we can the bills keep piling up. Our main expenses are the mortgage (so much less than the rent we used to pay!) and our staff that takes care of the dogs from 7am-9pm at the farm, our training sessions, consultations and classes with the public, our EPIC (prison program) that include 3 visits a week for classes and meeting with our handlers and the dogs, and so much more (we have 3 full time employees). Some months in the year are harder than others, so we are asking one more time for your support.

Why donating to us and not other rescues? We are really unique in the area...

✅We focus our approach on modern and scientific techniques for training and rehabilitation. We know we can't save them all, but we try one dog a time.
✅Several other groups focus in the volume, we focus on the quality. Our dogs don't live in kennels, but in rooms in the house or in other buildings. They receive constant training and 1:1 with our staff and volunteers.
✅ We want to SOLVE a problem not just dealing with the outcome. If we only rescue dogs and find them homes, we won't solve the pet overpopulation crisis we live in. We need to use a holistic approach and have more initiatives like spay and neuter, return to owner, and support on trainning and behavior among others to secure we are changing the culture of pet ownership.

Our mission is to support dog owners with free resources to deal with behavioral issues that will help that current dog and the more to come on that household as the owner will have more knowledge on dog behavior. And of course reduce the amount of dogs with behaviors entering in the shelter system (that normally won't have a chance...).

We want to avoid cases like Coco, our current resident at the farm. Coco spent the first 3 years of his life with one family. He didn’t meet other animals. He was hardly ever around strangers. And he was often alone in the backyard or in a crate in the home.
Fear-based aggression can present in an animal for all kinds of reasons, but this upbringing sure explains why Coco has struggled to adjust to changes in his environment and make new friends.

Coco has come a long way since his arrival (3 years and counting). He’s much more relaxed in new environments, he has a few human friends, and he’s learned how to think and work with us. But he will always have those first 3 years in his learning history. Coco is our resident dog for now, as we don't think is safe to be adopted. We dedicate a lot of time on helping live the best life possible and you can search in our page, all the training sessions we have had with him. He will stay with us as long as he needs to be, we hope he progresses more and more and can have a forever family someday.

If you believe that every animal should get a second chance, and that we need to keep pushing for education and support to dog owners to be better every day, please consider donating to us.

Our mission is not cute, or easy, but necessary.
