A Forever Home for Unwanted Parrots

Priceless parrot takes in unwanted parrots and provides them with a forever home, while also facilitating re-homings in the NY area and conducting outreach events where we inform the public about the threats to wild parrot populations and how to properly care for pet parrots.  We are a small organization, with all of our members working on a volunteer basis.  Feeding and housing parrots is an expensive ordeal, and we care for over 100 of them!

We were recently kicked out of our main fundraising/outreach spot due to changes in management.  Although we have formed new collaborations, we do not have a regular visitor base at our new locations yet.  We've therefore taken a big cut in incoming funds, it takes us 3-4 days to raise what we were previously raising in a day.  We work with organizations for donations of food and toys, but we have to pay shipping for these donations and supplement them, which really adds up.  For example, we spend $120 a week for shipments of nutriberries, one component of our parrot's diet.  Beyond these shipments, we must supplement with seeds, nuts, and produce to keep our parrots happy and healthy.  These are in addition to unexpected upkeep costs (e.g. the Preserve's air conditioner recently needed to be replaced) and vet costs.  Please help us care for our parrots!
