The dogs we take require a bit of extra help in life. We keep them in training their entire time with us, meaning that the long they're here the better they will get.

That training is positive reinforcement based with CGC as the goal for each dog.  We must do this for our dogs because of the issues they have had previously that landed them with us more often than not.  They get training every day in their foster homes, they attend a once a week class where we make sure they're progressing and become confident well rounded dogs with set obedience!

We don't entertain the argument that there are better dogs to save why waste the time.  If only because they're like this due to humans in the first place and when shown they can be respected and have consistency they are completely different dogs.

We love our fosters as much as our own dogs, we love seeing who they are and giving them the confidence to handle the world with grace.

Giving them this kind of care costs, but they're all completely worth it!

Costs per dog per month:
First month: $800 covers their complete medical, initial supplies & gear, first month of training, first fieldtrip.
Every month after the first: $100 covers their ongoing supply needs and multiple fieldtrips per month, monthly topicals.

Last Stop Rescue NFP

About the Organization

We are a foster based rescue that often takes dogs that are about to be given up and are dogs that would not thrive in a kennel situation. We deal with severe food aggression, reactivity, semi feral dogs that don't know how to live with humans or be handled, among many other behavioral challenges. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see their stories!
