Rocky, a brave 2 ½-month-old kitten has had a rough start in life. A Good Samaritan spotted him darting across a street on Saturday, trying to find safety. Unfortunately, before he could be rescued, Rocky was hit by a car. For two days, he remained hidden, likely in immense pain. Finally, on Monday, he came out of hiding and was found dragging his injured leg.
Once he was foundRocky was rushed to the vet, where X-rays confirmed a compound fracture—his tiny leg bone completely separated into two parts. Because the injury had already started to set, the vet encouraged immediate surgery to save his leg. Southern Counties Rescue stepped in and Rocky received the surgery he needed. Now, he faces a critical six-week recovery period, with cage rest and follow-up X-rays to ensure proper healing. The good news? If all goes well, he’ll be as good as new!
But now, we need your help. Rocky’s unexpected emergency surgery has left us with a huge vet bill. We couldn’t wait to save his leg—now, we’re asking for your support to help cover his care.
Every donation, big or small, will help us give Rocky the future he deserves. Can you chip in to support his recovery?
Donate today and be part of Rocky’s second chance!

About the Organization
We are a no-kill rescue in Southern California. We rescue cats and kittens from shelters and high-risk situations, then place them in loving foster homes where they receive the care, socialization, and love they need to thrive before adoption. Our costs per cat regularly exceed adoption fees, as many cats require additional medical care. We believe that all cats deserve a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
