As Spring breathes new life into the world around us, our hearts ache with the burdens our beloved rescued dogs face. The costs associated with their care have surged, placing us in a constant battle to provide for these innocent souls who rely on us for their well-being.
In a world grappling with economic hardships, the impact on our companion animals is profound. The escalating costs of essentials, driven by inflation, have affected the very core of animal rescues. It's a struggle—a struggle to keep up with the rising prices of food, the mounting bills from veterinary care, and the increasing demand for our help. We find ourselves caught in a relentless spiral, a spiral where the resources are dwindling while the needs are escalating.
We have continued to rescue, facing an absolute emergency crisis. Shelters were never equipped to handle this volume of animals. Due to overpopulation and daily surrenders, there is simply not enough room and space. Shelters were meant to hold animals for a short period until safely returned to their families. This crisis is forcing shelters to euthanize perfectly wonderful, healthy pets due to space constraints. These innocent animals do not deserve to die and it is breaking our hearts.
All of our recent rescues were dogs listed on the euthanasia lists. The euthanasia lists at shelters show no bias. All breeds, sizes, and ages including puppies were in danger of losing their lives. Had we not stepped in, all of these dogs would have lost their lives.
The funds raised in our emergency Spring fundraiser will go towards medical care, spaying and neutering some of the dogs we recently rescued that were released unaltered. A spay costs us $350 and a neuter is $250. Funds will also go towards food, treats, and supplies. As the weather starts to get warmer, we will need more shipments of water and baby pools.
Every bit helps when it comes to donations. Your support, no matter the amount, can make all the difference. We are immensely grateful for your generosity and commitment to our cause. Thank you for being a lifeline for these rescued dogs and for helping us provide them with the love and care they deserve. Will you join us in making a difference this Spring? Together, we can give these dogs the love and care they deserve.
