Kitty Save helps as many cats as possible so we have taken in quite a few so far this year, including a lot of kittens! We would love to share some of their stories with you so you know who you would be helping with your donation. We also ask that you share our GivingGrid.
Salacia and her fluffy babies came to Kitty Save from a local shelter that was out of space. We happily took this little family in! Two kittens are black with some grey/white hairs mixed in their fur. These flooffs are named Neso and Nereid. There are also two tabby kittens, named Triton and Despina. While mom came from a home environment that was unable to properly take care of a growing family, the little ones are still getting used to people. The Kitty Save staff have been working with them when possible to help socialize them.
Dory was found and rescued from an over populated cat colony alongside her brother. Over a short amount of time, she adapted to the indoor environment and now she enjoys being spoiled with all her favorited stuffed toys and adores being cuddled close to her people, letting her little motor roll. Like in the movie, this Dory hopes to find her family while making lots of friends along the way.
Weebles and Wobbles are two wonky kittens with big personalities. These sweet and affectionate lovebugs were brought to Kitty Save after they were found outside with no mom. Not long after they were brought in, they were diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia which is known as Wobbly Cat Syndrome. These boys don't let anything stop them as they love to wobble across the floor and cuddle with their caretakers, purring up a storm as they do so.
Lexi Lu is a beautiful black, grey, and white tabby. She came to us from a local shelter where she was a singleton kitten. From the beginning she has been a sweet and friendly girl. The only difference now is that she is a social butterfly! She loves zooming around but also getting love and attention with her little purr machine running.
Regis is an adorable orange tabby kitten that has stolen our hearts! Kitty Save was able to take him in from a local shelter when he was little. Now he jumps right into our arms for attention and will even drool from pleasure as he is loved on. But don't get him wrong, he definitely still has a playful kitten side. He's a little wrestler and enjoys throwing his toys around.
Another little family Kitty Save brought in we call the "Frozen Litter." In this group we have Olaf and Elsa, both white with grey points, Oaken and Kristoff, both black, and Marshmallow, a brown tabby. We were told by the shelter they were between 6 to 8 weeks when they were actually more like 4 to 5 weeks old. At first, these little ones weren't big eaters so the staff bottle fed them until they were able to eat watered down wet food on their own. Currently, they are transitioning over to kibble and they are not fans yet. These babies are definitely coming into their personalities though! They're playing with toys and rough housing now.
UPDATE 8/9/23:
Over $800 raised so far! We are currently scheduling 17 spays/neuters. Thank you to our amazing donors. Please help us continue raising funds to achieve our goal!
Also, Dory is currently in a new foster home while she waits to be fully vetting before adoption. She is doing absolutely amazing! See the photo below.
