Meet Missy Moo, a 9 year old Shar Pei mix from Tonopah, AZ. She's had a bit of a rough time, but is still a real sweetheart with an endearing penchant for talking (or perhaps "mooing") and singing to her people. Moo came to us with tick fever, a few masses, a moth-eaten coat and entropion, which has led to an ulcer on one eye and will require surgery to both eyes' lids. Entropion is a condition that causes the eyelid to roll into the eye and the lashes to rub against the eyeball. The surgery will give her relief from the near constant eye discomfort and pain that she's surely been feeling her whole life, however it will cost between $600 and $900 to repair both eyelids, and while she's under anesthesia, aspirate/test a lump near one eye, and remove a small mass on the back of a leg that the vet fears is a mast cell tumor. That's really a lot for us, so we are hoping that some of you are willing to donate toward her vet bill.
Tucson Cold Wet Noses
About the Organization
Tucson Cold Wet Noses is a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue and adoption organization. We were founded by a group of local dog lovers whose goal is to rescue dogs from the local shelters (PACC, MCACC and PCACC) and find them their perfect homes through successful adoptions. If they are hospice (terminal illness, other medical or age), they will stay in their foster home for the remainder of their life.
