This is Earl! ... please scroll through the photos of him and watch the video so you can get to know and love him like we do! And please share this campaign with your friends.
Earl is now a year-old. He is a non-racing greyhound that was surrendered as a 5-month-old puppy to the Benson Animal Shelter by a breeder. Fortunately, Animal Shelter personnel called Arizona Greyhound Rescue, and we welcomed him in to our family. He is affectionately known as Earl the Squirrel.
Earl struggles to run and play because he has a bowed front leg!
Earl has had his wellness check, shots, and his neuter surgery. But he has a bowed left front leg and struggles to run and play like a normal puppy. We believe that Earl's leg may have been injured when he was tiny puppy, and it was not set when it could have been. He has had x-rays that have determined that his growth plates are closed. Earl is ready for his next journey... to enjoy life and play with his buddies.
Earl needs our help!
AGR explored many options to fix Earl's leg with a veterinarian and an orthopedic surgeon. All of them are expensive, but we want Earl to have a normal life. Amputating Earl's leg is much too drastic... we feel that would leave Earl without further choices. AGR has decided to work with Kate Titus, Owner of A Loyal Companion who is manufacturing a brace and orthotic for Earl. This will give Earl the ability to move, run, and play like the Greyhound he was meant to be!
Helping Earl will cost $3,000!
Initial Intake, neuter/dental, and Kennel Stay: $400
Preliminary office visits with veterinarian and orthopedic specialist,
including x-rays: $500
Growth plate X-rays and office visit for fitting of brace –
Little Critters Vet Hospital, Gilbert: $200
Brace and Orthotic –
Kate Titus, A Loyal Companion, Tucson: $1,500
Future miscellaneous medical costs and initial supply of

Please donate and help us help Earl! And please share this campaign with your friends so they can help us too!
