Little Firefighters

Py and Manni were rushed to Cats Cradle Shelter on Saturday 10/15/16 after being rescued from a ditch fire. Py was IN The fire and had to be pulled out with a long stick/branch. All four of her paws have been badly burned and she is suffering from Smoke inhalation. Her brother, Manni actually has bad smoke inhalation as well. He was just outside the fire where the smoke was the heaviest. They were in critical condition on intake.

Campaign Details

Two days in the Emergency hospital and being separated from each other didn't make them forget eachother. They are now together and happy as little clams to have eachother back. We had some critical scares along the way with body temperature and labs being off but they are now stable and ready for phase two of their treatment.

Py and Manni have now been released from Red River Emergency Clinic and have been admitted to Southgate Veterinary Hospital where they are being closely monitored. The vet at Southgate has identified that Py has a grade 3 heart murmur. We are hoping this is something she will grow out of. They are getting contunued SubQ fluid therapy, wound management, pain medications, antibiotice and their Glucose is being closely monitored. We will be updating more frequently on our facebook page.
