SOS! SOS! SOS!

Urgent help needed for Mom and 12 Babies!

We received a heartbreaking plea for help from Fulton County, begging us to get a mom and her babies to safety. Coraline was found as a stray, and within 24 hours of arriving at the shelter, she went into labor. She shakes in fear, and her eyes are filled with worry.

We don't blame her; Coraline's newborns are in imminent danger. They have no immune system, and the diseases that lurk in shelters will quickly take them out. The sad truth is that love and attention won't save them at the shelter; this is out of their hands, and we must save them.

They need out of the shelter right now! Can you please help?

We need your help to pull mom and her 12 babies to safety.  These poor babies are less than 24 hours old. We are working to secure a driver.

This is a HUGE undertaking in a time when rescue is in crisis but we cannot leave them behind. We have to help them.

Mama Coraline, hang on, we are on our way.

NYC Second Chance Rescue

About the Organization

In 2009, NYC Second Chance Rescue began as a small dream, founded on the firm belief that all animals deserve love and care, and that no animal should ever be subjected to abuse, neglect or homelessness. All proceeds go directly to the animals, and to date, we have relied solely on donations from loyal supporters. Our mission is to offer a second chance to those animals less fortunate — those with critical medical, emotional or behavioral issues.

We have great news: Coraline and her puppies have landed at their foster, and Mama is getting the rest she deserves. Our miracle foster, Jazmine, has been a safe haven for so many of SCR's mamas and their newborns. This little family is exactly where they need to be.

As we watch Jazmine support Coraline's head and lull her to sleep, and watch her babies pile together in their pen, we can't help but imagine the relief Coraline feels.?????? In less than 48 hours, this tough girl was brought to the shelter as a stray, gave birth to a dozen babies hours later, and then transferred to a foster home. But we did it. Because of your support, because Jazmine is a foster hero

    We love you!!

The update we have all been waiting for!!! All of you are amazing!! We've almost hit our goal for this precious family. Incredible!! ??????

With your help, we worked tirelessly to find a driver to get Coraline and her babies out! We are so happy to announce that mom and all of her babies are now out of the shelter and on the way to a foster home.

Coraline is very stressed and most likely confused. She doesn’t know it yet, but she and all her newborns are safe. A lot more to do and we will share an update with you soon from their foster home and give these babies some names!

    We love you!!
